COMMISSION
MINUTES,
The Board of Washington
County Commissioners met in regular session on Monday, December 17, 2007, in
the commission room at the Washington County Courthouse. Present:
Alison Mueller, 1st District Commissioner; Marcia Funke, 2nd
District Commissioner; Jason Brinegar,
Chairman Mueller called the
meeting to order.
The board will not meet the
week of December 24th. Next
regular meeting will be
Lou Kern,
Bills and payroll were
approved in the amount of $264,913.50.
Don Richardson, custodian,
turned in his evaluation and reported on storm damage to the trees at the
courthouse.
Bids were opened for the
lease purchase of a main frame computer system for
The board approved and signed
change order nos. 2007-28.
Inventory for the county clerk
and travel and tourism were reviewed.
Alison Mueller, Chairman
signed a notice to the Hanover Township Clerk for the application of a cereal
malt beverage for the Pony Express Service Center and to the Coleman Township
Clerk for the 15x36 Truck Stop dba Walthers Oil Co.
Duane Bruna, Noxious Weed and
Solid Waste Director presented evaluations for his employees. Marcia Funke moved to approve the one year
permits for the collection, transportation, and/or disposal of solid waste at
the county’s solid waste disposal area for Jones Trash Service, Durflinger
Disposal Service Inc and C&M Refuse Inc.
Alison Mueller seconded and
motion carried.
Sheila Ouellette,
Communications Director, presented a certificate for payment of project costs
for the Washington County Public Building Commission project fund the Law
Enforcement Center Project for Alison Mueller as chairman to sign.
Christy L’Ecuyer, Business
Coordinator, presented the corrected
Melvin Brungardt,
Malcolm Stamm and Rick
Johnson met with the board to present the Washington County Development
Corporation yearly financial report.
Janice Kearn, R.N., County
Health Director, met with the board to have Alison Mueller, Chairman sign the
amendment to contract between the Kansas Department of Health & Environment
and the Washington County Health Department for $6,696.92.

Administrator gave his weekly work report.
Marilyn Kolle, Register of
Deeds brought in evaluations for Nola Dusin, Deputy.
